The City of Panama is quite metropolitain, and has experienced a huge building and real estate boom in the last five years, which is showing few signs of slowing down.  Tourists, expatriates, and residents alike enjoy the diversity of restaraunts, bars and clubs that make up Panama's social scene and nightlife.  Areas such as Balboa Avenue, Punta Patilla, Costa Del Este, Marbella, and San Francisco have developed into highly sought after areas for residential, commercial and mixed use projects.

Panama City is located on the Pacific coast, and is the central Commercial and Banking hub for all of Latin America with many International Companies, such as Dell, HP, Caterpillar, DHL, and Post-It recently relocating their headquarters here, speaking to the economic security and future growth of the economy.

Panama City is unique because of its proximity to both the Pacific and Caribbean coasts for deep sea fishing, Gatun lake for lake fishing, World Class golf courses and bird watching, rainforests, Indiginous Indian tribes, and an International Airport all within an hour from the City proper.

Panama City has a fascinating history dating back to the 16th century, as it was already a hot spot of trade and and commerce in the Western Hemisphere.  The original city was ransacked by the famous pirate Henry Morgan and burned to the ground, whereby the residents then rebuilt the city in what is now known as Casco Vieho.  Casco Vieho has been undergoing massive rennovation in the last few years and has the feel of a French Quarter with historic and romantic buildings, cute cafes and restaurants, and is a must see location for anyone thinking of relocating into the city.
